====== Scenarios ======

The Locolab will test different scenarios for the introduction of computers in Cambodia. These scenarios are combinations of hard- and software solutions. In these scenarios there will be room for thin client setups, Windows workstations, Linux workstations, setups without servers, with servers etc etc. For each scenario, [[locolab:manuals|installation manuals]] will be written and a [[locolab:costs|cost analysis]] will be made. These four scenarios will then be tested in four different pilot projects which allows us to see the effects of the scenarios in real world situations. We ask input from other NGO's working on ICT in education to actively contribute to these scenario's. 

There are two main reasons for choosing scenarios, rather than just deciding what seems best for us.
  - It will ensure that the best solution suitable for the Cambodian education system is chosen, rather than what would be technically suitable
  - It will allow the [[http://www.open.org.kh/osp|Open Schools Program]] to work together with other organisations which are working on ICT education in Cambodia already. Cooperation will be a keyword of our programs. There is a lot of skills and experience in Cambodia already!
